Zum einspielen eines Release Updates wird zwingend ein Yadi Komplettimage des gleichen ReleaseCycles benötigt. Zum Besispiel wird für das Update 2.1.0.3 ein Komplettimage 2.1.0.1 benötigt benötigt.

Snapshot Images
Snapshot Images sind nicht oder nur wenig getestete Images, die den aktuellen tuxbox-cvs Stand wiederspiegeln. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass Neuerungen als erstes in diesen Images verfügbar sind, hat aber auch den Nachteil, dass diese häufiger Fehler aufweisen.
